Come join a talented team responsible for building and releasing of our products on schedule. We are accountable for maintaining the integrity of source code in Maine Revenue Services applications, helping to resolve build and test issues, and integrating and merging code. We are looking for a creative, energetic Release Engineer who is interested and passionate about driving innovation of release processes to new levels. You will gain valuable skills in change management and building and deploying applications.

You will be supporting our software engineering and testing teams and will focus on managing the software build process, providing oversight for build/test environments, developing and supporting testing tools, influencing and shaping our continuous integration process, and ensuring the release process is successful.
Responsibilities: Build and Release Engineer will provide oversight of the build process through automated scripts and source code management tools. Responsibilities will extend to the configuration and maintenance of test tools and environments.

In order to qualify, you must have two and one half (2½) years applications systems development experience utilizing high-level languages. A Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject area may be substituted for one (1) year of application systems development experience.

SALARY: CLASS CODE: 0865 PAY GRADE: 23 - ($45,510.40 - $61,609.60/yr.)*
*Includes a 15% recruitment and retention salary adjustment and eligibility for a 5% annual training bonus.
The value of State’s share of Employee’s Retirement: 15.37% of salary for BU positions. The value of State-paid Dental Insurance: $13.13 biweekly. The value* of State-paid Health Insurance:
Level 1: 100% State Contribution (employee pays nothing): $444.68 biweekly
Level 2: 95% State Contribution (employee pays 5%): $422.45 biweekly
Level 3: 90% State Contribution (employee pays 10%): $400.21 biweekly
Level 4: 85% State Contribution (employee pays 15%): $377.98 biweekly
*The level of the actual value of state paid Health Insurance will be based on the employee’s wage rate and status with regard to the health credit premium program.
